The history of Fili Jewellery dates back to London in the 1960's. Chambis Hambi, father of the present owners, began his apprenticeship in the heart of London's manufacturing centre, Hatton Garden, where he continued to perfect his skills for 17 years before migrating to Adelaide in 1977.

Chambis continued to work in the jewellery trade after arriving in Adelaide starting his own business, C and M Jewellers, wholesaling to retail outlets across Australia. Having watched their father all their lives, Yianni and Kyp Hambi began learning the trade, spending most of their school holidays practicing jewellery making in their fathers' workshop.

After undertaking their jewellery apprenticeships the brothers began designing new pieces of jewellery for C and M Jewellers, and eventually opening their first showroom in the heart of Adelaide's CBD, in the historic and enchanting Adelaide Arcade, Fili Jewellery.
